Steve swears that Serene's life is going to end up documented minute-by-minute. It is not!! Of course, I do have to share the following bits of her life:

Serene working herself under the rocking chair . . .
Serene working herself under her afghan as she sleeps (those are her fingers poking through) . . .And Serene while her sisters played with her hair! =)

Baby update

Wow! I can't really believe we've had our newest tax deduc- tion for six months now! She's getting big, though not as big as the baby boys around here (20 lbs at 4 months and 14 lbs at 2 months are two exam- ples of what Rich- mond water does in our ward alone). Serene's only 15 lbs but Jenero swears she gets fatter every day, lol! And yes, she's rolling all over, both ways, every which way (it's her major means of transportation right now); but she's also now able to stay on her stomach and drag herself around in a circle until she's pointed where she wants to go . . . and she then tries to get up and go! So far she's only managed to get her legs under her for a moment or two before she collapses, but aaagh! My little baby's going to be crawling before you know it! And with as much as she LOVES to jump up and down for hours on end (hey! it seems that way when I'm balancing her under arms), I have a feeling that it won't be long after she crawls that we'll have a little walker around here. Sorry, I didn't do her hair for these pictures, but we normally don't do curls and bows for staying around home. =) Besides, now you get to see Serene's magic trick -- she can appear to be a boy, lol!

You know, it's funny how much her personality's developed right along with her physical growth. Serene is the happiest baby every time she wakes up, whether it's from a nap or a night's sleep. When we go in to get her she's normally talking to herself, and when she hears us come in, she gets the biggest grin on her face and starts wiggling all over her crib in her blankets. The little kids call this "Happy Morning Baby," and they beg to come in her room when I hear her wake up in the morning to see "Happy Morning Baby." Serene also loves her afgans Mom and Karna made for her; in fact, she only calms down for a nap now when she had her crib, pacifier, and one of her afgans on top of her so she can rub her face on it. Aaaaah! What else? Serene loves all her siblings, and they all adore her right back. She's definitely become a central part of all our lives.

Happy Thirteen!

So we officially have another teenager in our house. =) Of course, there's not much difference between 12 and 13 since she's still a Beehive, still in middle school, and still is not allowed to wear makeup. (Come on, Dad!) So here's to Adria! And yes, Crisha made the headband, complete with changeable flowers.
